Everything you need to know about the next Festival

The next Burford Festival will take place in 2019, from the 6th - 16th June.

The detailed programme will be distributed at the end of March 2019, in the Festival brochure and on this website. Tickets will be available shortly after Easter 2019.

The 2019 Festival will continue to be broad-based with a programme of music, theatre, film, talks, tours and community events. It will begin with the Mayor’s Reception for all Burford residents and the first weekend will include the Festival Banquet, Open Gardens, garden speakers as well as a concert by the dynamic a cappella group All the King’s Men and an exhilarating Shakespearean production by the Three Inch Fools.

During the week, we will have an eclectic mix of speakers on a wide variety of topics, with a mid-week musical concert, and the usual Festival Lunch and activities at Burford Primary School.

The second weekend will have a strong musical theme with a jazz pianist in concert, the full 80-strong Pendyrus Male Voice Choir, an outdoor jazz afternoon, and a grand finale by the Burford Singers. In parallel we will continue the tradition of the 'Party on the Rec' for our younger Burfordians which will lead into an evening ‘Recfest’ of free music.

Throughout the week, fringe activities will take place, including live music in the pubs every night, an art exhibition, and talks by The Arts Society and the North Cotswolds Arts Association.

Please contact us at info@burfordfestival.org if you would like to be kept informed about our emerging programme.
