Five Acts of Human Kindness

A brand-new choral work, Five Acts of Kindness, by acclaimed British composer Bob Chilcott, with text by Charles Bennett, will be performed by the Burford School Community Choir as part of the grand final concert to the 2026 Festival.

This specially commissioned piece will unite voices from all ages and backgrounds; students, staff, parents, and members of the wider community to celebrate the values of empathy, generosity, and shared humanity through music.

Renowned for his uplifting, accessible choral music, Bob Chilcott has written for choirs around the world. This new work promises to be a joyful and heartfelt celebration of kindness and connection—values that resonate deeply within the Burford community.
