Tales from the Antiques Roadshow

The Antiques Roadshow, now approaching its 50th year, is one of the BBC’s most enduringly popular programmes. For 36 of those nearly 50 years Paul Atterbury has been a familiar member of the Roadshow’s team of experts. In this talk Paul explores the programme’s history and explains how it is made, from unpredictability and excitement on the day to the calm pleasures enjoyed by millions on a Sunday evening. There are highlights and a few lowlights, plus the adventures he has shared with the expert team, the presenters and, especially, the public with their stories.
