This year’s community play will be a rehearsed reading of Laurie Lee’s classic childhood memoir,“Cider with Rosie”. Performed by residents of Burford together with members of the Wychwood Players amateur dramatic group and directed by Hazel Hughes, it depicts post WW1 life in a rural Cotswold village and is the first and most celebrated part of Lee’s autobiographical trilogy.
